Gifts of Love

Yes, I know, it's been over a year since my last blog.  My mind has turned to mush after having three boys;-)

I wanted to share some of our latest projects in the Halverson household........

Ryan and I decided this Christmas we would try to start making hand made gifts.  With Ryan's love of woodworking(playing with expensive tools:-)) and my love of photography we were able to create some pretty special gifts for some pretty special people in our lives.  Below are the finished products.

We have more projects in the works for this year and can't wait to share them with our loved ones!

Ready for Christmas!

I absolutely LOVE this time of year!  Great family, great food, and great memories to be made.

Our Christmas shopping is done, presents are wrapped, and "Santa" is ready to go.  I can't wait to see the looks on the boy's faces when they see what Santa has brought for them.  Now if it would just snow a little then it would really FEEL like Christmas.

It will be nice not having to rush from Des Moines to Ames to Algona and back to Des Moines in a 36 hour time frame.  Instead we'll have 72.  Definitely much better when we have three kids to travel with.  And they'll actually get to enjoy some time playing with their new toys.

On a side note I wanted to share what I made for Ty & Riley's teacher's for Christmas:
This year for their gifts I used my new favorite website, Pinterest, to come up with something.  Ty and Riley picked out DIY holiday coasters.  They were VERY easy to make!

Hopefully this is the start of me actually becoming more of a crafty person or at least attempting to be.

And so it begins.....

After thoroughly enjoying many blog posts from my friends I came to the conclusion that maybe I should start a blog of my own. I have never been a great writer nor have I ever pretended to be, but hey I might as well keep trying, right?? I figured now is as good of time as any to get started. So here goes nothing.....
